The 5th annual Family Festival at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish starts this Thursday.
Parishioners, local businesses and service organizations are working together to create four days of affordable, family-centered fun designed to engage all generations.
There will be family friendly rides like the Super Slide, Scrambler, kiddies coaster, and fun house. Back by popular demand are the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, swings, tempest and bounce house.
There will be live entertainment by local talent, with Patrick and Alex Kerssen on Friday, May 19, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Vera and the Force on Saturday, May 20, from 5 to 9 p.m.
There will also be a dog show on Sunday, May 21, at 2 p.m., pony rides on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and, of course, Bingo on Friday and Saturday night from 6 to 9 p.m.,
The festival will have plenty of great food choices available including sausage and peppers, cheese steak, pierogies, salad, dessert and fruit, all at affordable prices. There will even be a wine and beer tent.
