Dale thanks voters for putting local issues first

The United States of America is undeniably the greatest democracy in the world. Throughout our history, we have fought to protect these principles, which are sanctioned by our constitution, including our individual right to vote. I am deeply saddened and affronted by any immature or juvenile attempts to intimidate voters who value their right to vote.
West Milford faces many challenges and is grappling with local issues that have not been addressed because of partisan politics, political agendas and narrow-minded leadership. It is important that we have leaders who are familiar with local issues and who work collectively to resolve them. And, our savvy voters know it. Furthermore, since there are no Democratic candidates, the winners of the local Republican primary will be guaranteed a seat on your township council.
That is why, for the upcoming primary election, some Democrats have chosen to change party affiliation. That is also why many registered Republicans will not be voting “down the line” but will exercise their right to vote for the best candidates rather than the party dictates. I respect each and every voter, regardless of the outcome, for being proactive, getting out to vote and making a difference in our local government.
Thank you to the voters who consider local issues paramount to our quality of life. Thank you to veterans who fought to protect our freedoms, especially our West Milford veterans. Thank you to our mayor who did change party affiliation to use the privilege of her precious vote to nurture a grassroots effort and to have meaningful representation at the local level. Thank you to the savvy voters of West Milford who have shown that they refuse to be bullied into favoring down-county politics. Our voters recognize they can choose to focus on our community and its best interests instead of ugly partisanship – it is their right to do so.
I am a Republican running for re-election as your representative on the township council. My running mate is political newcomer James Ronayne. Since we are not subservient to the political bosses, we are under an array of personal and deceitful attacks. We believe that your local elected officials are elected to represent ALL of their constituents, so despite the bully tactics emanating from the political machine, that is exactly what we will do if you cast your vote for us on June 7.
