“Food, The Musical,” with a book and lyrics by Donna Kaz and music by Gerald Stockstill, is a culinary feast of song and comedy featuring five short musicals all about food. The Costco Contessa tapes her own TV show, unveiling her secrets to making delicious meals from bulk ingredients. A man convicted of aggravated assault learns how to make a soufflé as part of his anger management class. And breakfast in the Ethel Merman home is a lot more than Ernest Borgnine bargained for during their 32-day marriage. Songs about suppertime, soup, and celebrity chefs provide tasty morsels in between each of the short musicals.

This production of “Food, The Musical,” is directed by Edward Matthews, director and founder of the New Jersey Playwrights Competition, with arrangements by Warren Helms and musical direction by Charles Santoro and Kevin Lynch. Samara Grossman serves as choreographer. Bill Motyka is the set designer, John Todd Erwin is the sound designer, Jeff Carr serves as lighting designer, Cheryl McCarron is the costume designer, and Christopher Ollo serves as technical director.
