American Indian Heritage walk and talk at Ringwood Manor

    Archaeologist Edward J. Lenik will lead a hike around the grounds of Ringwood Manor and talk about the history and culture of the American Indian people on Sunday, Aug. 13, from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
    Learn about their subsistence practices, stone tools, burial places, folklore, myths and legends, and habitation sites.
    The tour begins at the Coffee Shop, where there will be a brief introduction to Indian culture history.
    This program is sponsored by the North Jersey Highlands Historical Society and is free. Sturdy shoes are recommended on this walk.
    There is a New Jersey State Park parking fee of $5 per car for in-state residents and $7 for out-of-state residents.
