This was updated on Friday, June 23.
The Highlands Economic Development and Tourism Corp. ( HEAT ), is very happy to announce that due to the overwhelming response by our local community and sponsors, HEAT has been able to bring the Kelly Miller Circus back to West Milford for what is planned to be an annual event. As in previous years, HEAT will continue to support various organizations in need such as the West Milford Animal Shelter, WMHS Project Graduation as well as sponsoring less fortunate children for day camp at Bubbling Springs and providing complimentary tickets to our annual Circus-all through our fundraising events such as the Circus, Shop Local Program, Christmas Lighting Contest, etc.
Because of the great support from our community, HEAT will be able to donate $1,000 this year to the West Milford Animal Shelter. As Vice Chair, I want to personally thank the community and our many sponsors for their continued support of HEAT’s efforts to bring back a sense of community to our town, through events like the Kelly Miller Circus.
As a reminder the circus is this Sunday, June 25, with shows at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the former A&P store in the Hewitt section of the township. Everyone is invited to come out and watch the animals being unloaded and fed and witness the raising of the giant big top.
Activities will begin early on the morning of the circus, and the tent will be raised approximately 9 a.m. Guides will be furnished for school groups and anyone attending. The circus is sponsored by Highlands Economic Development and Tourism Corp. (HEAT).
Advance tickets are $6 for children and $12 for adults. Tickets available online at kellymillercircus.com or at the following locations: Sit ‘n Chat Diner – Hewitt, TJ’s Pizza – West Milford and Dairy Queen – West Milford.
Tickets purchased at the box office on the day of the event are $8 and $16.
