James H. Waldron, Jr., 95, passed away on Nov. 8 in Florida.
Born in Paterson to the late James H. Sr. and Florence (Mentnech), he lived in Wayne, for many years before moving to West Milford in 1963 with his family. He was a United States Navy Veteran during World War II.
James graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology as an Electrical Engineer.
He worked for many companies and also was self-employed, and was a proud member of the IBEW Local 102.
He was a member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church, a member of the F&A Masons, West Milford Square Club, West Milford Elks, Shriners and the VFW. James is pre-deceased by his wife Doris (Cameron), and is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, devoted father to James A. (Rip) and his wife Carol. Daughters, Lynn Oblinger and husband Ron, Cindy Mooney and Jeanne McCann and stepchildren Roderick Schertler and Elizabeth Papay, as well as nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He loved life and was proud of his family.
He was an avid tennis player and sports fan and captained many “Lad-E-Buc” boats he owned throughout his years.
Family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 16 at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road in West Milford from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson.
