Richard James Grippo of West Milford passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024. He was 91.
He was born on March 9, 1932, in New York to the late Adeline (nee Raimondi) Grippo and the late Roco Grippo.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1960.
He married Angelina Mazzamorra in 1956, and they started their family in the Bronx. In 1968, they moved to West Milford.
Richard was employed at Sony Corp. and Craig Corp. for many years until his retirement in 1993.
In his spare time, he enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Mets, and playing golf.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Angelina, in 2022; his loving parents, Adeline in 2006 and Rocco; and his dear sister, Loretta Grippo, in 2016.
Richard is survived by his loving daughters, Karen Luke and her husband Bud, Susan Lill and her husband Cliff and Janice Francisco and her significant other Paul Senogikoski; his cherished grandchildren Nicole Nolting and her husband Eric and Corey Lill and his wife Amaris; his adored great-grandchildren, Parker and Finley Nolting; his dear brother, George Grippo and his wife Pam; and his loving nephews John and Paul Grippo.
