Get ready for the Passaic County Fair

The Passaic County Fair is back, Aug. 13 through 16, from 3 to 10 p.m. on Garret Mountain.

The fair will feature rides, a car show, games, fireworks, crafters, live music, food, a 5K race, pony rides, beer/wine garden, county 4H exhibits, health screenings, boxing exhibitions and a chess tournament.

As part of the fair, historic tours are also being offered. The tours must be reserved and paid for in advance. Space is limited.

Passaic County’s Baseball History Bus Tour

Saturday, Aug. 15, 1 to 3 p.m.
$15/includes admission to the Passaic County Fair; Payment required in advance

A guided bus tour featuring the sites of former ball field and mill building where Hall of Famer Honus Wagner played his last two seasons of minor league ball, the Larry Doby Statue and Field in Eastside Park, the home of Lou Costello and birthplace of “Who’s on First,” Hinchliffe Stadium and Yogi Berra Museum. Space is limited. Reserve a spot early.

The tour will meet at Passaic County Fair Parking Lot, Garret Mountain.

Paterson’s Courthouse Historic District Walking Tour

$5/includes admission to the Passaic County Fair

A guided walking tour of Paterson's Courthouse Historic District featuring stops at the Passaic County Courthouse, the Old Post Office (known today as the Courthouse Annex), the Barbour Flax Spinning Works and Memorial Day Nursery.

Free parking is available at the county's parking garage, 396 Grand St., Paterson. Meet in front of the Passaic County Court House, 78-87 Hamilton St., Paterson.
