SUSSEX COUNTY-From 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, Judge Andrew Napolitano will discuss his new book, "Constitutional Chaos: What Happens When the Government Breaks Its Own Laws" in the Theater at Sussex County Community College. There will also be a book signing, but only copies of the book purchased at the event will be autographed. Judge Napolitano's book deals with the many paradoxes of the US Patriot Act, which was passed Oct. 26, 2001 in the wake of the September 11 attacks. It was designed to "deter and punish terrorist attacks in the United States and around the world, to enhance law enforcement investigatory, tools and for other purposes." But as many have noted, in some ways it seems to actually threaten the individual rights of Americans. In his book, Napolitano asks which is more important - safety or freedom? Napolitano joined FOX News Channel in May 1998, and currently serves as a senior judicial analyst. He appears daily on The Big Story with John Gibson, co-hosts Fox and Friends once a week and is a regular on The O'Reilly Factor. He is the youngest life-tenured Superior Court Judge in the history of the State of New Jersey. Admission is free. All proceeds from book sales will benefit the Foundation for SCCC.
