The community is invited to attend Theatre of Light, a free Mayo Performing Arts Center event, will take place Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Vail Mansion Plaza, 100 South St., Morristown.
The universal symbol of light will illuminate the cultural diversity of the community from 5 to 7 p.m.
A curtain of stars and lights will welcome the community onto the Vail Plaza.
Local nearby church bells will signal the start of Theatre of Light.
Specially lit magical winged dancers will perform while an enchanted winter creature roams about in dazzling colors.
And the MPAC teen Performing Arts Company will provide entertainment.
Create your own stars
On Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., MPAC will hold a free workshop at 13 Pine St., in which the public can create stars for the Sunday event. More information about the workshop is available at www.MayoArts.org.
During Theatre of Light, you are invited to stop by the “Visit the Star” selfie station and the Wishing on a Star table where you can write your individual wishes for the season that will become an integral part of the evening’s light display.
