New director at Clear Channel Radio

    FRANKLIN-Josh Reed has been promoted to the position of director of on-line content and marketing for Clear Channel Radio of the Hudson Valley and Sussex, N.J. He will handle all online initiatives for 16 station websites and 6 streaming stations, and will also act as brand manager for 16 stations. Reed rose from the post of promotion director with the company, and prior to that he spent three-and-a-half years as the marketing coordinator for Marist College's School of Graduate and Continuing Education, where he oversaw the marketing strategy and advertising, as well as online and graduate programs. Director of marketing, Jim Furgeson, had this to say. "Josh is uniquely qualified for this position due to his graphic design, website and overall marketing experience. I know that with Josh at the helm, our website re-launches will go smoothly and our on-line future is in great hands." Reed added, "Prior to broadcasting, I did a lot of web development, marketing strategy and marketing online. Also, branding and strengthening brands in the minds of listeners is something that has always interested me. What makes the job more prefect is that fact that it is in radio, a medium I love."
