SUSSEX COUNTY-Hosted by the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee and the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America, the second annual Sussex County Grand Marshal's Dinner took place Saturday at Crystal Springs. An evening of wining, dining and entertainment culminated in the passing of the Grand Marshal's sash from last years Grand Marshal, Monsignor John Boland, Pastor of St. Francis DeSales in Vernon, to Sussex County Freeholder and Franklin Borough Councilman, Steve Oroho. The evening's entertainment included Gallagher's School of Irish Step Dancing, traditional Irish music by Kindred Spirit, bagpipers Jimmy Duke Jr. and Robby Henry and a special vocal performance by Sean Oroho. "We are extremely happy with the turnout tonight, and from the feedback that I am getting everyone seems to be delighted with the food and the entertainment," said Dennis Harrington, chairman for the St. Patrick's Day Parade committee. "I think that the evening has been a great success." The 2005 St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Franklin and end at Legion Road. "Last year the parade was in Sparta, and we had in excess of 300 people marching," said Harrington. "This year we hope to have the same if not more."
