Bryan S. Akers died on Wednesday, Feb. 08, 2012. He was 51.
Born in Pompton Plains the son of the late Johnson and Anna (Hand) Akers, he lived most of his life in West Milford.
Bryan had been employed as a stock person for Home Depot, Mahwah.
Surviving are a son, Bryan S. Akers, Jr. of West Milford, sisters Anna M. Scribner of Tennessee, Mary Ellen Gorlich of Highland Lakes, and Brenda Cremer of West Milford, five nieces, six nephews and 12 great-nieces and -nephews. His parents and brothers John J. (2004) and Grant (an infant) predeceased him.
A funeral service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Final disposition private.
