Sparta resident Kathi Hoffman, a progressive care certified nurse, recently received Circle of Excellence honors for nursing at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains. She was the only recipient of the “Excellence in Patient Centered Care by a Staff Nurse” award and was presented it during National Nurses Week in May. Hoffman has administered patient care in the hospital’s Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit for over two years and now teaches phlebotomy classes for the hospital’s education department. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Delaware in 1985.
