Edward Seiler, 86, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 24 at his home in Flowood, Mississippi.
Mr. Edward Seiler was born in Brooklyn, New York.
He was the son of John Seiler and Irene (Harrison) Seiler.
He worked until retirement as a Longshoreman with ILA, Local 1258 at New York Harbor for more than 30 years.
He had been a resident of West Milford for 50 years and attended Queen of Peace Church.
Edward “Eddie” is survived by his loving partner Joan Williams of West Milford, three children, Maureen Ann Kinnaird (Ralph) of Flowood Mississippi, Kelly Ann Griffiths (David) of Hewitt, and Edward Patrick Seiler of Hewitt.
He had five grandsons, Jonathan Kinnaird, Bradley Griffiths, Brian Griffiths, David Griffiths, Austin Griffiths and three granddaughters Kimberly Buford, Nichole Kochakji, Aerial Knapp and 11 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Thomas Seiler of Brooklyn, New York, and Joseph Seiler (Pat) of Bethpage, New York.
He leaves behind loving nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 28 years, Joan Florence Seiler, and his brother Jack (Jackie) Seiler, of New City, New York.
He truly lived a selfless life and will forever be in our hearts and memories, watching over us until we meet him again.
Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 29 at Richards Funeral Home in West Milford.
A funeral mass took place Nov. 30 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Hewitt.
Interment followed in Cedar Heights Cemetery in West Milford, (richardsfuneralhome.com)
