Frank S. Elkins Jr. of Newfoundland, N.J., passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. He was 94 years of age.
He was born on May 1, 1926 in Buchanan, N,Y, to Sarah (nee Trathen) and Frank S. Elkins Sr.
Frank married Katharina E. Mumm in 1947 in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant, from 1944 to 1948 during World War II in the 70th and the 1st Infantry Divisions.
For 10 years Frank was a production planning supervisor with Allen B. Dumont Labs. He then worked for the Bendix Corporation in Teterboro, N.J., as the production and materials manager for over 33 years.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Katharina in 2008.
Frank will be interred beside his wife Katharina on Saturday, June 13, at noon at Milton Cemetery, Milton Road, Milton, NJ.
