Henry E. Dela Motte of West Milford passed away on April 17, 2012 at Wanaque Center.He was 73 years old.
Born on Nov. 9, 1938 in Jersey City, he was the son of the late Henry Dela Motte and Edna Rickert Dela Motte.
Henry served with the United States Navy from 1958-1962 aboard the USS Independence.He loved his life in the Navy and those he knew during those years.
He was a maintenance worker with the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Woodbridge.
Henry is survived by a son, William H. Dela Motte and his wife Kathleen of Hewitt;a granddaughter, Harley Dela Motte; two step-grandchildren:Shauna Regan and Timothy Regan;two sisters:Helen Pighnie of Atlanta, Ga., and Dorothy Baecht of Whiting.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lazear-Smith and Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, N.Y., followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m.
