Joseph J. Staudinger of West Milford passed away at his home on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015. He was 87.
Joseph was born on Oct. 29, 1927 in Paterson to Agnes (Berkey) Staudinger and Joseph Staudinger.
Joseph proudly served in the US Navy during World War II from 1946 to 1947.
He married Karen (Wiarda) in 1949. Together they raised their family in Elmwood Park and Green Pond.
He is survived by his beloved wife Karen; his loving children Linda Kay and her husband Bud of Tabernacle, Joanne Fantry and her husband George of West Milford, Nancy Sliker and her husband Glenn of Mercerville, Kenneth Staudinger and his wife Christine of North Canton, Ohio, and Kristen Silvestri and her husband Mark of Newfoundland; his cherished grandchildren Lindsay, Thomas, and Christopher Kay; Michael and Rebecca Fantry; Jessica, Jaime and Timothy Sliker; KellyAnn, Kenneth, and Matthew Staudinger; and Steven, Sarah, and Kyle Silvestri; his adored great-grandchildren Ava, Mia, Andrew, Olivia, McKenna, Shane, and Madelyn; his sister Dorothy, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Joseph’s life was held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015 at The Green Pond Chapel, Notch Road, Newfoundland.
