Paul William Polo Jr., 84, of West Milford, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, while receiving outstanding care at the Health Center at Bloomingdale.
Beloved husband of Judith O. (Walker) Polo for 41 years.
Born in New York, he was the son of the late Paul W. and Katherine C. (Gregorio) Polo.
He graduated from WC Bryant High School in 1952 and from NYC Queens College in 1960.
Paul served as a Reservist in the U.S. Navy for 8 years, oversaw the steel construction of many facilities in northern NJ, and later in life, was a self-employed construction contractor.
He was a man who loved his family, a man who loved life, a man of conviction, a man who would tackle and passionately finish any project, and a good husband and provider to his family.
In his spare time, he loved to maintain and drive his 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible, tackle home improvement projects, fly model airplanes, fish, cook great meals, and help friends and new acquaintances in need.
He had a very kind heart, a quick wit, and was warm and inviting to everyone he met.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Paul was a member of the Masonic Silentia Lodge in Butler, and Past Master of the Alexander Hamilton Lodge.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two step-sons, Randy (Julie) Molten of Tampa, Forida, and Scott Molten of Oak Ridge; one step-daughter, Kim (Buzzy) McKinnon of Kinnelon, six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
