St. Joe's Forensics Club wins competition

NEWTON — The newly formed forensics team at St. Joseph School in Newton recently took first place at the Northwest New Jersey Forensics League Competition. The team consists of seven students and two alternates. Other competitors were Reverend Brown School, St. Theresa School and St. Michael School. The competition genre was dramatic interpretation of a piece in either a multi-person scene or monologue. The students at St. Joseph School tied for first place with St. Michael School in Netcong and were awarded dual possession of the trophy cup. The team moderator is Mrs. Diane Belli. Parent coaches are Adel Collado and Helen LeFrois.
