Awesome ALF

Ah, what began as a small celebration of the new traffic light in town has certainly grown!

The Autumn Lights Festival Saturday drew an estimated 18,000 people from the township and well beyond to Union Valley Road. Vendors lined both sides of the thoroughfare with food, crafts, art projects and services; local non-profit groups were on hand to give out information to the community about their services.

Music filled the air. All along the street there was music and entertainment at the four stages set up, from the Music at the Mission Stage up at the top of Union Valley near Wells Fargo, to the local entertainment stage at Mr. Wong's where kids performed dance routines and karate, to the main stage at the Pinecliff Lake dam and the stage at Valley View. There was something for everyone.

And the weather - it was a perfect autumn day. Clear blue skies, bright sunshine, orange and red foliage, smiling, happy faces.
