CASA offering adults free youth mental health training

    WEST MILFORD - Local teachers, school staff, coaches, youth group leaders and parents are invited to a free Youth Mental Health First Aid training session sponsored by CASA.
    It will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 30 at the Almond Branch Church.
    The session is sponsored by the West Milford Municipal Alliance CASA and the Highlands Family Success Center.
    The course teaches participants the risk factors and warning signs of common mental health challenges including substance use disorders.
    Particiapnts will learn how to support youth that show signs and symptoms of a mental illness or are in an emotional crisis. The curriculum focuses on adolescent’s ages 12-18 years old in this 8-hour public education program for adults.
