WEST MILFORD — Delicious was the word of the day at the West Milford Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Jan. 29 as the aroma of chili wafted through the air. It was the 8th annual chili cook-off, sponsored by the church's deacons.
There were 10 different chili dishes entered into the competition, as well as more than a doze dessert entries. The winning chili dish was prepared by Councilwoman Ada Erik, with the runner up coming from Doug Weed.
The money raised from the chili cook-off goes to the church deacons, who provide for the food pantry and other outreach programs into the community.
