Christmas Past on display at Wallisch Homestead
WEST MILFORD. The Creamery will be lit up each evening between 5 and 9 p.m. in December for visitors to enjoy.
The Friends of the Wallisch Homestead will offer a glimpse into Christmas Past again this season.
Each evening between 5 and 9 p.m. in December, the Creamery will be lit up. Visitors may peek through the windows and view a scene from Christmastime of yesteryear, with subtle differences from last year.
As holiday music fills the air, visitors may look for items mentioned in “The Night Before Christmas,” Clement Clarke Moore’s famous poem.
The poem will be posted with items to be found highlighted in red. The list also is online at www.wallischhomestead.org
Those who spot Wally, the Wallisch cow, could win tickets to the 2024 Music Fest. Each Thursday, Wally will move, offering another opportunity to win.
The friends group continues to raise funds for restoration of the Red Timber Barn, the oldest structure on the grounds. So far, they have raised $55,000.
“We are confident that folks will see the importance of this campaign and will be more than generous in their year-end donation,” said Sue Lynch, chairwoman of the group.
“There are still some matching funds available to help your double your contribution,” she added.
Wallisch Homestead, 65 Lincoln Ave., is dedicated to cultural, educational and recreational purposes.
