Alexandria Parker of Oak Ridge, a student at Diane's Dance Academy 23 in Newfoundland, won first place in the Acro category and first place overall, for soloists ages 7 to 9, for her Acro performance of "Radha" at the Dance Explosions National Competition held in Wildwood on July 5 to 12. Alexandria was also picked with other classmates, pictured here (from left) Madison Freidman of West Milford, Bella De Jaeger of Vernon, Kiley Cannon of Rockaway, Gianna Guerriero of Oak Ridge, Alexandria, Gianna Ramaglia of West Milford, and Natalie DeMuth of Sparta, from Dance Explosion regional competitions held earlier in the year, to be on the Extreme Team and perform in the opening number at the Dance Explosions National Competition. All of the participants attended workshops throughout the competition week.
