WEST MILFORD - The West Milford High School Highlanders Indoor Percussion Ensemble will kick off its 2019 Competition Season this Saturday with its second annual “Drums in the Highlands” home show competition.
The Highlanders Indoor Percussion Ensemble will give its first public performance of their 2019 program: “What Goes Up” in Exhibition.
This is the Highlanders’ one and only home show performance for the season, and also serves as the biggest fundraiser of the season for the Indoor Percussion Ensemble.
The event showcases percussion groups from the tristate area, as they compete for the top spot, and to be “the ones to beat” this season in the competition circuit.
The “Drums in the Highlands” competition show will be held at the West Milford High School Gym, located at 67 Highlander Drive, Feb. 16.
Tickets are available to purchase at the door; doors open at 2 p.m., and are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and students.
Concessions will also be available for the purchase of refreshments.
Following the National Anthem at 2:55 p.m., the competition begins promptly at 3 p.m., and the awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to come out and support the Highlanders Indoor Percussion Ensemble.
Attendees will enjoy some spectacular “Drum Drama”, yummy concessions, and an afternoon of quality family-friendly musical entertainment of percussion precision.
