The atmosphere was relaxed and the beats were catchy at the drum circle Tuesday evening, July 11 on the great lawn of the Wallisch Homestead, 65 Lincoln Ave., West Milford.
Residents were asked to bring something to hit and/or something to shake. The instruments ranged from snare and congo drums to big plastic buckets to Tupperware containers and plastic Easter eggs containing rice or dried beans.
Various people were called on to create a beat that others picked up. One man led the group in a couple songs as well.
The next drum circle will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8.
