Festival of lights is celebrated in West Milford

WEST MILFORD — The Chabad of Upper Passaic County and Rabbi Mendy Gurkov hosted a menorah lighting Wednesday night in front of the township hall. It was the last night of Hanukkah, a festival of lights, and all eight lights were kindled.
After the lighting ceremony, those in attendance enjoyed traditional potato latkes.
Gurkov's Chabad Jewish Center in Wanaque draws people from West Milford, Ringwood and Wanaque.
