Kaitlyn Donaldson, Lily Santiago and Sonny Lynn Hart of Girl Scouts Troop 97403 established the Girls Preparing Closet, which stores period products.
The Girls Preparing Closet will be supplied with donations from the community.
The Girls Preparing Closet (GPC) at Macopin Middle School officially opened Friday, Sept. 29.
Sixth-graders Kaitlyn Donaldson, Lily Santiago and Sonny Lynn Hart of Girl Scouts Troop 97403 established the GPC, which stores period products, such as pads, tampons, underwear, wipes, deodorants and black leggings.
The girls created a sustainable closet accessible to all students in need. It will be filled by donations from the community.
