Boy Scouts from Hewitt-based Troop 146 earned 38 merit badges during their week-long summer trip to Camp No Be Bo Sco in Blairstown. In addition, the nine scouts and two adult leaders earned the Honor Patrol and Troop Honor Patrol awards for excellent participation, scout spirit and volunteer work at camp. For nearly a decade, Troop 146 has been spending one week per summer at the camp. Scouts enjoy activities including swimming, fishing, shooting, mountain biking, hiking, bonfires, canoeing, kayaking and sailing. The troop is planning an open house on Oct. 6.
