No one seems to be having trouble finding a long time popular restaurant in West Milford Village that now has a new look.
The line to the now two-lane window services at McDonald's has been busy and continuously moving this week in the lead up to the May 12 grand re-opening.
Waldo the Clown performed, and artists created balloon animals and painted faces at the event.
The restaurant at 43-A Marshall Hill Road offered coupons in The West Milford Messenger for free six-piece orders of chicken McNuggets with any purchase and "buy one, get one free" Value Meal or Happy Meal. The coupons are good until Jan. 19.
McDonald's in West Milford now reflects the new restaurant model that the company has successfully rolled out in more than 2,600 international McDonald’s restaurants. The new style puts more choice and control in the hands of guests.
New featuresDigital self-order kiosks: For those looking to order at their own pace, the restaurant’s new digital self-order kiosks make ordering and paying for a meal easy.
Table Service: Guests orders are delivered to tables by McDonald’s crew members, allowing customers to relax and enjoy a more custom dining experience.
Mobile ordering: Using the McDonald’s app, guests can place their order and pay in advance.
The restaurant is now conforming to the newest McDonald’s prototype in addition to providing an expanded drive-through system.
KMK Development Group Inc. of Scotch Plains was contractor for the $457,700 project.
The original building was 37 years old. The renovation gave the restaurant a more contemporary look, ridding it of the red mansard roof and other familiar things.
