WEST MILFORD — Who says you can't come home again? Elizabeth Martin recently accepted the position of administrator for Milford Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. And she feels like she is right at home.

Born and raised in West Milford, Martin volunteered and worked at Milford Manor in 1997 while attending West Milford High School. After graduating, she moved to Charleston, S.C., and attended Charleston Southern University. She married her high school sweetheart and moved back to Bergen County where she began her career in healthcare, receiving her license in Nursing Home Administration in 2007. She moved back to West Milford and continued to work in Bergen County overseeing two buildings. When the position of administrator of Milford Manor became available, after the retirement of Linda Cunningham, and was offered to her, she happily accepted.

The mother of two-year-old twins Dylan and Della, Martin is enjoying working closer to home and a much shorter commute. And she is glad to be back in the “extended family” of the Milford Manor staff.

“What makes Milford Manor so special is the caring and compassion that the staff has for the residents and each other,” said Martin. “I am thrilled to be back.”

And feeling right at home again.
