OAK RIDGE — Paradise Knoll Students enjoyed Halloween music, a costume contest, a Haunted House Jr. and an Enter at Your Own Risk (scary) Haunted House complete with teenage zombies (PK alumni) before going outside by grade level for Trunk or Treating.
The event was sponsored by the PK PTA and was a great success thanks to the many parent volunteers who helped chaperone the event, DJ the music, run the costume contests, assist with the haunted houses, decorated the school, and decorated their trunks. Parents also donated candy for the Trunk or Treat and non-food items for the "Teal Pumpkin Project" trunks at the Trunk or Treat - which offered Halloween-themed non-food items such as small toys, pencils, erasers, stickers, etc., as treats for kids with food allergies.
Even members of West Milford Fire Department's Company 2 made their annual visit to participate in the PK Trunk or Treat, with their fire truck decorated with orange lights, an inflatable skeleton on a motorcycle, an inflatable gargoyle, and Halloween music playing, making their trunk or treat area creepily clever.
