RINGWOOD — The graduation exercises for the eighth grade class of Ringwood Christian School were held on Monday evening, June 17. Eight students received their diploma from the school. Special certificates of recognition were given to students for demonstrating outstanding academic, athletic, music and citizenship achievement.
Rachel Ligus and Matthew Torregrossa were recognized as athletes of the year. Cassie Carlsen received the vocal music awards and Stacy Moen received the instrumental music award. Trevor Backman, Aren Koeber, Stacy Moen and Matthew Torregrossa were the recipients of the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.
Each year, students in the graduating class may be nominated for the Timothy Award. This award is given to any graduating student who has demonstrated achievement in all areas of school and community life – academics, athletics, music and Christian character. This year Trevor Backman, Aren Koeber, Rachel Ligus and Stacy Moen received this honor.
The Ringwood Christian School Class of 2013 was composed of the following students: Trevor Backman, Cassie Carlsen, Aren Koeber, Ben Ligus, Rachel Ligus, Stacy Moen, Anthony Pampena, and Matthew Torregrossa.
