West Milford. The young citizen helped create an outdoor classroom at Maple Road School as part of his scout project.
Boy Scout Sean Earl Partington was honored at a recent Township of West Milford meeting after earning the rank of Eagle Scout. The Eagle is the highest rank in scouting. It has often been mentioned by Mayor Michele Dale and other past mayors that West Milford is known for having an outstanding number of young men earning their Eagle plaques over many years.
Partington’s education in the township included his elementary grade years at Maple Road School, middle years at Macopin School and finally graduation last year at West Milford High School. He praised the educators in the local school district, his teachers who supported him in his interest in outdoor education and helped him get involved. He plans to have a career as an outdoor educator himself.
Partington’s Eagle project involved creating an outdoor classroom at Maple Road School. The project involved 430 hours of volunteer work. Partington thanked the citizens of West Milford who have continued to give him encouragement and helped him in many ways to reach his goal of being an Eagle Scout.
