WEST MILFORD — Attention, ShopRite shoppers. The West Milford store has been renovated, and now includes such amenities as a state-of-the-art kitchen and a health and wellness department staffed by registered dietitian.
Tuesday, July 24, the restored market was opened at a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by executives of Inserra Supermarkets along with local dignitaries.
The store’s extensive renovation added an additional 15,000 square feet to its existing footprint. Improvements include:
An expanded produce department featuring more than 750 varieties of fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts and seeds, including locally grown, organic and conventional selections.
An expanded state-of-the-art kitchen and catering with “Center of the Plate” chef-inspired and prepared meals made fresh daily on premises and new additions including soup and olive bars.
Patsy’s Butcher Shop staffed by master butchers seven days per week, featuring a service counter for custom cuts, signature Patsy Sausages made fresh daily and a large selection of organic, locally sourced and conventional proteins.
A full-service fresh seafood department with deliveries seven days per week and a variety of locally sourced seafood.
An expanded ShopRite From Home space with a separate entrance for convenient order pick-up.
A new health and wellness department staffed by registered dietitian Megan Scutti, who will provide free services including individual nutrition counseling, monthly culinary workshops, meal planning, recipes and community outreach programs.
An expanded Pharmacy featuring a private room for consultations and immunizations.
With an emphasis on reducing its eco-footprint, the renovated store incorporates energy-efficient refrigeration and lighting throughout, including glass doors on all dairy and freezer cases and LED lighting throughout the store.
