The 22nd annual Autumn Lights Festival drew a very large crowd last Saturday, flooding Union Valley Road with thousands of residents and visitors to celebrate the season that looks spectacular all over the township.
There were concerns all week about the weather not cooperating — but it did. Calls for rain lingered but none fell on Saturday. Skies were gray, although that didn't reflect the mood all up and down Union Valley Road. Folks were enjoying the music and food, games and crafts, and the shopping.
It was also a great way to get out and meet your neighbors, especially those who are volunteering in the community. The festival is where many non-profits share what they do with residents, maybe even signing up some new members.
It was another successful festival for the volunteers who worked so hard to put it together as well as the residents and visitors who got to enjoy it.
