Teachers, staff member announce retirements

— Eighteen teachers, administrators and staff members have recently announced their retirements coming at the school year's end. Superintendent of schools Dr. James McLaughlin announced the retirements in April and May at the school board meetings. Cumulatively, nearly 450 years of experience is leaving the district, he noted.

In addition, Apshawa School Principal Dr. Jeanne Apryasz is leaving the district to become superintendent of the Sussex-Wantage School District.

"We salute all of these individuals for their dedication and commitment," he said.

Norma Bozenmayer, West Milford High School science teacher;

Brynn Carroll, West Milford High School guidance counselor at the high school

Joan Contillo, Apshawa School resource center teacher

Robynn Derbyshire, Macopin School English teacher

Maxine Farrell, Marshall Hill School resource center teacher

Timothy Gillen, athletic director and supervisor of physical education and health grades 7 – 12

Patricia Maglio, Maple Road School resource center teacher

John Montana, Macopin School learning disabilities teacher

Rosemary Resigno, Maple Road School reading specialist

Sharon Rosen, Macopin School resource center teacher

Frances Sarnella, Macopin School guidance department secretary

Sandra Schultz, West Milford High School food service business aide

Gregory Sheremeta, WSest Milford High School social studies teacher
