Aiden Miller of West Milford is one of five students chosen to represent Passaic County in the 4-H STEM Ambassador program at Rutgers University.

The 4-H STEM Ambassador program is one of the most extensive youth leadership programs, with more than 6 million young people participating.

Applicants must maintain a grade point average (GPA) above 3.0 to qualify for the program.

After completing the week-long program, the STEM ambassadors must teach what they learned to their community and commit to more than 40 volunteer hours throughout the school year.

Aiden’s next goal is to become a Governor’s STEM Scholar, which introduces New Jersey’s high-achieving high school and college students to industry, academic and government research in the state.

Aiden and his siblings were home-schooled for three years. For extracurriculars, his parents drove them to Maryland for STEM competitions and to Connecticut for aviation classes.

They also took classes at Bricks 4 Kidz, a franchise STEM-based business.

Aiden enrolled at Passaic County Technical Institute to study computer science in 2023 along with his twin, Chase.

Aiden had a 4.0 GPA during the 2023-24 school year and was named to the Principal’s List.
