WEST MILFORD — The Shop Local campaign during the recent holiday season raised much awareness throughout the community about the value of shopping in the township's local businesses. That will continue as the township partners with the chamber of commerce promoting local business.

According to the West Milford Chamber of Commerce, townshipMayor Bettina Bieri has reached out to the chamber to discuss revenue generating opportunities within the township departments for local business. She is hoping to utilize local business for purchases rather than outside vendors.

Bieri, along with township clerk Antoinette Battaglia and township Administrator Nancy Gage, will be present at the next West Milford Chamber of Commerce lunch on March 14 to present opportunities and procedures that are available for local business owners. Chamber President Rea Wundrack Lippner said the upcoming meeting has already generated great anticipation within the membership.

The lunch is at Khun Thons at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14. The cost is $16 for chamber members. Reservations are requested. Respond to Jodi Wundrack at wwcontractingllc@yahoo.com or call 973-657-9393 before March 12.
