West Milford Elks participate in state convention

Representatives from the West Milford Elks B.P.O.E. 2236 attended the annual Elks State Convention in Wildwood earlier this summer. The Lodge received a first-place award for best bulletin/newsletter in North District 1. Nearly 30 representatives attended the convention and participated in the Elks Parade through Wildwood, where Elks Lodges from around the state marched on behalf of their lodge. A wonderful time was had by all representing West Milford to the entire state!

Parade participants included: Past Exalted Ruler Fred Forster, Past Exalted Ruler and four-year Trustee Linda Dolan (color guard), Exalted Ruler Ken Hensley, Leading Knight Kevin Goodsir, Loyal Knight Ken Brand, Sr. (Officer of the Year 2020-2021), Lecturing Knight James Tedesco (color guard), Secretary Ilona Pyrich (Officer of the Year 2021-2022), Treasurer Angie Kepfinger (marcher), Innerguard John Fletcher (color guard), Head Trustee Mark Noble (driver), Peggy Noble (marcher), Sue Brand (marcher), Ken Brand, Jr. (banner), Donna Smartt (driver), three-year Trustee Kristina Lundquist (lead car), James McGough (Elk of the Year 2021-2022), Sue McGough (rider), Dave Townsend (banner), John Addice (color guard), Jeff Dolan (color guard), and Paisley Macintosh (alternate ambassador). Also joining the Lodge representatives were Jean Townsend, Stacey Goodsir, Roe Forster, Barbara Doster, Carin and Dawn with “Team Paisley,” and Jackie Addice.

But wait! There’s more. On September 17, the West Milford Elks, located at 1860 Union Valley Road, West Milford, will be putting on a Comedy Night, featuring Danny C Entertainment. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. This will be a family-style pasta dinner. The price is $40 per person. There will be a cash bar (no outside beverages allowed). Tickets are available as the Elks Bar. Reserved seats for parties of eight are available.
