WEST MILFORD — The West Milford Farmer's Market opens on Wednesday, June 5, from 3 to 7 p.m., rain or shine. This year, the market moves to the West Milford Presbyterian Church property, with ample parking.
This year's market will be a bit larger than last year's, with even more choices. All of the vendors from last year are back, including Hazelman Farms, Ideal Farms, Kittatinny Mountain Farms, Noble Pies, George's Farmhouse Gourmet, Ochs Orchards, Picklelicious, Pie Eyed Bar Pies, R&L Greenhouses, and of course, Snoep Winkel Farms, Even more vendors are being added.
This year, Bernie Stapleton from Coyote Ridge Music has created a great line-up of local musicians to entertain farmer’s market shoppers from June 5 through Oct. 16. Opening day festivities will include Loretta Hagen and Ed Seifert, who will be playing a variety of favorites and originals from 4 to 6 p.m.
Fresh local offerings, weekly live music, cooking demonstrations with recipes and other local events make this the community gathering place to be on Wednesday afternoons. And don’t forget to visit the "Buy Local" corner to support the local artisans, merchants and non profits.
The West Milford Farmers Market will build a stronger and more sustainable West Milford by creating a ‘one-stop’ opportunity for local residents and businesses to conveniently obtain and sell high quality, locally grown and crafted products in a welcoming, informative and entertaining setting.
The market's core principles include giving West Milford vendors priority for available vendor spaces, but vendors within a 75 miles radius of town will be permitted to provide a diversity of foodstuffs and good.
