West Milford. Firefighters celebrate milestone service anniversaries

Members of the West Milford Fire Company 6 recently gathered at the Ridge Road Firehouse to recognize several members who achieved milestone service anniversaries in 2020.
This event is normally held earlier in the year but due to the pandemic it was rescheduled until June. The following members achieved the milestone service anniversaries:
Wayne Morrissey: 30 years
Wayne has held various civil and line positions within the Fire Company. He had been elected chief for several terms and also served the township as Deputy Fire Commissioner.
Bill Weaver: 25 years
Before Billy was old enough to join the Fire Company, several senior members can remember him responding to the firehouse on his bicycle when the siren went off. He made sure the garage doors were closed after the trucks left. Billy has held various civil positions including Sergeant at Arms and Trustee.
Other members recognized for their service milestones include:
Joe Corcoran: 15 years
Mike Dygos: 15 years
Robert Sirnik: 10 years
CJ Murray: 10 years
