    Crossroads Food Pantry is here to help

    The Crossroads Food Pantry wants to help anyone experiencing difficulty putting food on their table. The pantry will provide pre-packed boxes of groceries, which include dairy, produce and meat.

    Anyone needing assistance with food may call 973-697-6060 to pick up an emergency box.

    The pantry also has regular food distributions on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, starting at 10 a.m.

    The Crossroads Food Pantry is located at the Holy Faith Lutheran Church, 104 Paradise Road, Oak Ridge, across from Paradise Knoll Elementary School. Anyone who wants to set up a “no contact” distribution following COVID-19 guidelines, call the food pantry.

    Memorial Day ceremony, parade cancelled

    The West Milford Township Memorial Day ceremony and parade have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Memorial Day in West Milford is usually marked with the annual ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park near town hall, which is attended by hundreds, followed by a parade through town to the American Legion post on Lincoln Avenue.

    Library extends due dates for materials

    Due dates will be extended until at least May 31, 2020 for all materials currently checked out of the West Milford Township Public Library with no further accumulation of fines. That date may be extended depending on when the library reopens.

    All electronic resources will remain available, including e-books, audiobooks, hoopla digital movies and music, Rosetta Stone Languages and rbDigital magazines.

    The library has increased the number of Hoopla digital items that can be downloaded in a month from five to 10.
