Stockholm woman faces drug, DWI charges

WEST MILFORD. Police report drugs in a vehicle found off the road on Route 23 North.

Olivia Donofrio, 22, of Stockholm was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and driving while intoxicated Jan. 24 after police responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on Route 23 North.

When Officers Jared Primavera and Thomas Connors arrived, they found Donofrio standing near her vehicle. Primavera saw signs that she was impaired, and Connors saw several suspected wax heroin folds and vials of crack cocaine in the vehicle, police said.

Donofrio was given field sobriety tests, then was arrested.

She also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and reckless driving. She was taken to the Passaic County Jail.

DWI charge after crash

Theodore Wojcik, 66 of West Milford was charged with driving while intoxicated Jan. 29 after police received a call about an erratic vehicle on Ridge Road.

While attempting to find that vehicle in question, Officer Amy Antonucci was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Larsen Road. She saw signs that the driver, Wojcik, was impaired and he was arrested, police said.

He was issued motor vehicle summonses and released to a family member.

DWI, careless driving charges

Jason MacDonald, 45 of Wayne was charged with driving while intoxicated and careless driving Jan. 29 after Officer Thomas Connors responded to Canistear Road for a reported motor vehicle crash.

A vehicle with a flat tire and damaged rim apparently had struck an object in the road, police said.

Connors saw signs that MacDonald was impaired and he was given field sobriety tests, police said.

He was issued motor vehicle summonses, then released to a family member.

DWI, speeding charges

Jeremiah Noah, 45 of Budd Lake was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding and reckless driving Jan. 21 after an officer saw his vehicle speeding on Union Valley Road.

Officer Robert Hahn saw signs of impairment and Noah was given field sobriety tests, police said.

He was issued motor vehicle summonses, then released to a family member.

DWI, other charges

Paul Ciraolo, 60 of Kinnelon was charged with driving while intoxicated Jan. 22 after police were alerted to an erratic vehicle on Route 23.

Officer Brenden Gerity saw the vehicle pass him, then saw the driver speeding and failing to maintain the travel lane. When he stopped the vehicle, Gerity saw signs that Ciraolo was intoxicated and gave him field sobriety tests, police said.

He was arrested, then issued motor vehicle summonses, including failure to maintain lane, open container in vehicle and reckless driving. He later was released to a family member.

Running from police

Tyler Nowinski, 22 of Hewitt was charged with shoplifting and resisting arrest by flight Jan. 31 after police received a call from Uncorked Wine & Spirits about a male who left with merchandise and did not pay.

Officers Randy Yevchak and Robert Hahn found Nowinski in the rear parking lot of a nearby business. He began to run through the parking lot while Yevchak told him to stop, police said.

Nowinski later was found in a nearby residence. He was sent to the Passaic County Jail.

Shoplifting charge

Traci Morgan, 34 of Ringwood was charged with shoplifting Jan. 23 after police responded to a report from ShopRite employees that a woman left the store with numerous items that she did not pay for.

Ringwood police found her vehicle a short time later. West Milford Police Officer Jon Bregman arrested Morgan. She was released pending a court appearance.

DWI, other charges

Maureen Reilly, 66 of Chester, N.Y., was charged with driving while intoxicated Jan. 26 after Officer Robert Hahn saw her driving on a flat front tire on East Shore Road.

Hahn and Officer Randy Yevchak conducted field sobriety tests after they saw signs that Reilly was impaired, police said.

She was issued motor vehicle summonses, including refusal to submit to chemical testing, reckless driving and open container in a vehicle. She then was released to a friend.
