Name: Courtney Stewart Gymnastics Captain 2010 Age: 16 School affiliation: West Milford High School Sport/Activity (ies): Gymnastics Team, Spring Track 1) How did you get involved in gymnastics? After I had been doing thirteen years of competitive dance and acro, I decided I wanted to try Gymnastics where I could experience using all the different apparatus that gymnastics has to offer. 2) What is the most challenging part about being a gymnast? The most challenging part about being a gymnast is all the hard work to achieve your goals, and the stress it puts on your body. 3) Who is your biggest inspiration? My mom because she is always there for me and she will always help me and never give up on making me a better person. 4) What is your favorite class in school and why? Child Development because it will help me learn to be able to work with young children. 5) What is your favorite song? My favorite song is Dream by Hannah Montana because the lyrics in the song make me wanna reach my goals and to just keep dreaming until I reach them. Bonus Five 1) Have you ever been injured? Yes I have, I broke two fingers, and sprained an ankle. 2) What are your plans for the future? I want to be an elementary school teacher because I want to make a difference to little kids. 3) What are your coaches like? My coaches are very sweet and they will always be there when someone is in need. 4) What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is Marley and Me because its really cute and it reminds me of my yellow lab that I had. 5) What is your favorite food? My favorite food is fried chicken because I don't like other meat as much as I like fried chicken so it tastes better to me. Do you know someone who should be featured in Take Five?
