WEST MILFORD-Do you have an old cell phone you no longer use? Environmentally speaking, it's a bad idea to throw it out an recycling those kinds of things can sometimes be easier said than done. Now you can get rid of it and do a good deed at the same time. Town Councilman Joe Elcavage has joined with the West Milford Police in asking anyone with an unwanted cell phone to donate it (and any accompanying equipment) to the Domestic Violence Response Team. The idea is to program the phones for 911 only and then distribute them to victims of domestic abuse and any senior citizen who requests one. In addition, they are hoping to make some of the phones available to the Civilian Emergency Response Team in the event of an emergency. You can drop off your old phones at the West Milford Police Department.
