WEST MILFORD Superintendent Glenn Kamp recently released the violence and vandalism figures for last year. The state requires every school district to compile these figures. Here is an overview of the 2004/05 school year: 27 incidents of violence 15 incidents of vandalism 1 incident of weapons 17 incidents of substance abuse Eight of the vandalism incidents involved costs to the district and the total of those costs was $5597. That's quite a bit higher than the average annual expense due to vandalism, which is $3557. However, it was exceeded by $1150 in the year 2002/03. There were also 65 incidents of students being given out-of-school suspensions
