Lichtenberg is experienced, dedicated

I want to remind the residents of West Milford about my lifelong friend Marilyn Lichtenberg. She has given 100 percent assistance to so many people and is like the “Energizer Bunny” that never stops.

Not surprisingly, Marilyn was chosen as a Mary B. Haase Lifetime Volunteer by a committee of several former mayors of West Milford.

She worked for the township finance department, created the first township physical inventory and bulk-ordering system, and at age 22 became the treasurer.

She later went on to become a successful CEO for two corporations and has also been a licensed real estate agent for 50 years. She has been and currently volunteers on so many organizations, some of which she founded.

Her motto is “Follow the Golden Rule.”

You may have noticed that red car which has the two American flags flying in West Milford. She has had those flags on the car since the 9/11 attack in 2001.

As a coach, volunteer and councilperson, I know there are many people she has helped. As a town council member, she has set hours at town hall for residents to stop by with their concerns and ideas and gives out her cellphone number.

When she broke five bones on the day of a town council meeting, she was upset that she missed her first meeting in seven years.

Now she has been active on the council for 12 years.

Please vote for an experienced all-around person, my friend Marilyn Lichtenberg for re-election to our West Milford Town Council.

    Thank you.
