Barbara Van Der Sluys shared this photo of Brown’s Point showing Brown’s Hotel on the site at Greenwood Lake. Many boxers, including the Great Joe Lewis, trained there. Before the hotel was destroyed by fire around 1952 popular wrestlers of the day also entertained. Greenwood Lake Turnpike shown in front of the hotel is not as wide as it is today.
